The Zenith of Guitar-playing.

Well, I need some help with this. I need it for some school assignment.

Can you guys tell me what is your perception of the greatest personal achievement as a guitarist?

Eg: For me, it's realising that the pinnacle of guitar playing is not a competition, never was. Instead, it's a form of self-expression, an enjoyment and a release.

What about you?

Thank you guys. :)

Well... there's a few sides for me...

There's the technical side... to be able to play anything that pops up in my mind, there and then, on the spot.

There's the creative side, the side that strives to constantly reinvent oneself... and not stagnate.

And finally... there's the magical bonding of instrument and person. Where, when you pick up the guitar, you realise its an extention of your voice of yourself there.

hmmm.. phil you will need more for your assignment. :) Wanna have a chat with me? I got a lot of ideas and stuff on this... you might be able to glean a lot...

Thanks Daniel.
I also need to know what the fastest speed ever attained.
25notes per second?
I've read of this guy with some hand-deficiency who can play 40notes in one bloody second. Don't know if it's true though.

Marcus Paus! yes.
he quit doing that kinda thing and went on to making real music though.

'Minor Swing', yeah!!

Amazing, innovative player.

Personally I feel that the guitar is another medium to express yourself or whatever emotions you want to portray. So like what zysth said, yeah, to have the ability to make people weep or smile with your playing.

Theres also the technical side.... 8)
