I was in Delhi a few years ago on a job and back then all i knew abouttheir music were the Ravi Shankars, Indian Oceans and of course Junoon( Doesn't matter if they are Pakistani, they sell well in Delhi)
But then on a 5 hour road journey to Agra, my Indian counterparts passed me their Ipods to listen to a band called Sajid And The Lost Boys.
I was blown away. It was like Kings Of Convenience crossed with Duncan Sheik with lyrics that cross any borders. And then I realised that they were having a tough time since their music was celebrated but never bought or signed because they simply were not marketable like Bollywood music. ( Sounds like a similar story don;t you think with what we have here) It built another connection straight away.
But enough of talk, I just wanted to share Sajid's music. I am more of a metal head, but honestly his songs sometimes really soothe me on bad days ( and like everyone else, those are many)

I think its wonderful that in today's world we don't have to hunt for imported cassettes ( yes i remember that) and still get in touch with music no matter where it comes from.
Hope you guys enjoy this.
