thor666: it looks like my Strat.

Looks similar. Mine the color is ridiculously aged though... See the internal cavity... the color tone is distinct...

when it comes to strats... its older the better man!

anywae, it has Noiseless on it.. shiok~

woa darkness u're 18?haha u're OLD..lol...

i used to hav a strat..it's freaking cheapo made in china copy..so crappy it doesnt even deliver the distinct strat tone...
sold it off as i needed $ for the june hols...

but at a jamming studio i tried a cheapo suzuki strat copy n i gotta say, except for the pickups, i love it man..tt distinctive 'twang' strats r known to produce is ther..bettered tt it's got a maple fretboard!

57/62 reissues are great value for money. though the model you said you tried 62/58 us comes with basswood. The alder offering will probably sound more traditional.

though my personal favourite is still the alder w/maple neck and fretboard.
ala 57 reissue... but the 62 reissue C shape neck is more comfortable to my hands. i think its slimmer? much easier to do the faster stuff..

tmrw im heading down to mr misse!! the BB preamps are in. gonna snag mine before its all gone again. tonal heaven awaits~!

Hope i'm not too late, facing problems like another softie who can't post after the revamp. Something to do with the site not accepting http referrer, which i cant do anything about it.

My MIJ 62RI, all stock except the nut replaced with a Graphtech Tusq. I'm a fan of the pre 70s slimmer headstock look :)

yup penta - for performance at the House of Rock pub, i use Black Beauty on the old skool 70s stuff. the custom made POT on the heavy metal stuff. the MIA strat - 12 years thick n thin - now home based for practice :)

hmm theres a guy near my place selling a MIJ ST72 like that for about $780.
bridge he replaced with a wilkinson.
not sure if i should get it, was thinking of offering about $650 as thats what i feel its worth.

i only wished japan would release a newer model thats more period correct with an ash body, rather than the basswood it is.

Paulo: Can we say Blackmore?!?!

Everdying: Do remember to check with the seller if he still has the tags and stuff which came with the strat. If it's a model ending with US, it's basswood body, while a model ending with TX is of alder/ash which of course depends on what exact model it is.

This is my st57-70tx. basically a 57' reissue with texas special pups. It isnt a true replicate of a real 57' though. it has a 'C' neck! lol. the real 57' uses a V.

Well everything is stock except that i added a kinman treble bleed mod the the volume pot and i change the second tone knob to the bridge pup.
