precisely because we are not so special that the writers should cater
to the Singaporean rubbishy easy-to-understand-explain-it-all-in-your-
face humor. That is why Singaporeans don't get it.

You still can't blame the public for not getting it. it's not their job to get it.


But that's 100% not saying that the writers are at any fault here
because the show is still a box office hit and THAT is what they were
aiming for. so they did their job right.

just so happens doing their job right means singapore probably won't
get it.

Actually, only a minority of people don't get it.

A lot of people were laughing at the 'inside jokes' in the cinema i was in as well.
Singaporeans ain't exactly that ignorant, only a minority don't understand the jokes.
And we can't exactly blame them either, cuz we are not exactly exposed to American politics as much.

And yeah, the movie has less 'inside jokes' compared to the serial, so imo, they have tried to cater to the humor needs of other countries to a certain extent already.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Hehe yeah i didn't get some jokes in some parts too...
Guess the daily dosage of The Simpsons serial on tv ain't enough for me to really understand the American inside jokes.

But still, great movie!

And i'm hooked!
Never will i go back to local sitcoms! (No intention of dissing, that sentence was just to emphasise on how good The Simpsons is)

When the heck did Green Day appear though?! I didn't see them throughout the movie...hope it wasn't during the credits...I did like them song though...
