Juz wana share wit all axemen here...I just tried out my new FENDER HOT NOISELESS PUPS at last night's gig on my Bonnie Raitt Sig strat ....killer pick ups man... Its got a kix ass fat tone yet keeps the inherent strat tonal dynamics. All without the hum of conventional strat pups or texas specials.

These pups were originally designed for Jeff Beck in his new signature model. They are definately a notch up from the regular vintage noiseless pups and of course work with standard 250K pots etc. I put in a TBX pot for pos 2,3,4 for even added resonece...sweet...

Only draw back is unlike the vintage noiseless that have either white or black covers, the hot noiseless model comes only in "aged white" (more like cream) covers and they dont fit standard covers. Fortunately the Fender tech dept emailed me the serial no of replacement pop covers so I can get the colours I want.

These pups are not readily available but if U can get em...I gurantee U wont regret..

i have been searching for a set of these. u noe where i can find them and for roughly how much?

okm ppls, heres the deal... they are damm hard to get bcoz they are still quite new and a lotta places in the states & Europe (internet order shops) have sold out. There are a few pieces available on ebay.

I bought 2 sets from a fender dealer in Sydney Australia called Dickson Music - total all in I paid for the 3 pups were $294 incld shipping & GST - sweet deal.

Now...taht I got Jeff Becks pick ups...wish I could play like him...sighhhh... 8)

heya,

i remember about more than a year ago the hot noiseless were already available, cos it was the same time i ordered my vintage noiseless and i was deciding between the two. and yep pretty hot items sold out most of the time. I got my vintage noiseless only because clapton switched to 'em for his signature models (thash what i heard anyways...keke). anyways, i believe sweetwater.com would ship it to singapore. try mailing the big shops first. shipping shld be about $25US (or that's what i paid anyways for my pups).
hope this helps. cheers

fibre drive - BTW for your vintage noiseless set, the pups comes wt 3 pots for vol, tone, tone...wats the values of the pots - standard 250k OR 1 meg? 8)

fgl. there is a mod available for the TBX to make it more... effective. Current, a stock TBX tone is like neither here nor there, it don't bleed that much treble (like a normal tone pot) and it don't bleed that much bass. A simple wiring mod actually.. you should hunt that down..

shredcow - hey thanx for the tip man .... if u have the addrs pm lah...buy U kopi...haha...

ah... I see thanx coz the aged white covers I got my my hot nioseless were so aged it looked cream.... However Fender does make white covers for the noiseless pups & I got the serial nos from them will try to order soon

Frm wat I been told - noiseless, vintage noiseless etc available for quite a while the hot noiseless maybe a year or less...

Clapton uses vintage noiseless - replacing his old lace sensors

Sambora Texas specials I think with a humbkr..his 3 sgl pup model Im not sure..

anyways I tell U these pups ROCK baby - for all stratcats if U wanna hotter, fatter tone w/o screwing up yer strat tone, get these FENDER HOT NOISELESS
PICK UPS..

If memory serves me well, Sambora parted ways with Fender before the Noiseless came out. So if he did, it was on an unofficial basis. Short of boycotting Fender, Sambora later mainly used Les Pauls and other models due to disagreements.

wonder why? maybe because they dropped his sambora model from the artiste series? 8O

word was that sambora wanted an affordable strat with acceptable features on his signature, hence the MIM Sambora model. fender didn't see face-to-face with that (companies are sensitive to cost issues), in short they parted ways not so amicably.

mmm sumthing like what Van Halen & Musicman went through....

btw I owned a MIM sambora b4 - wasnt exactly too keen on it...sold within 2 months...

the singlecoils on the MIM were kind of hopeless - more inferior than stock strat pickups imo. the Dimarzio PAF Pro sounded very good though.

interestingly, that was one of the guitars where i didn't really have a problem with the Floyd Rose. but sold it eventually.

if memory serves me well you also wanted to buy it... heh.
