hey RCT, what's an oi band? Hehehe. Sorry la. Noob here:)

How shall I explain it hmmmm.... Here goes, oi band usually spells trouble, rowdy and everything negatives but that's a perception from people who don't actually understand the music. To me, oi band is just like any other bands of different genres. Example; Bushmen who play reggae for the love of the Jamaican roots and thus, a relaxing beat adding a sound of Boggie beat. Electrico portrays the commercial side of Singapore and eventually showing the world that Singapore music is a top-notch. The only difference is that, oi band portrays more of a working-class element and songs about fighting for a cause. The misconceptions of society towards the music and misunderstanding of the movements. To assure you, right here in Singapore there are no any racists agenda or political correctness from Oi bands. What they see is what they show in the everyday life of the working-class thru' the music. Hope that can enlighten you a little... Thanks...

oh hell yeah, love that lineup RCT-DisTrO! especially Brewing Boots, The Bois & Gen 69. Much Respect.

Yeah they are great nonetheless but there are other bands that have pretty well be among them or maybe even better. The good part is that every oi bands here support each other. Seeing other bands doing well had made them to excel better and give better music. Other than the 3 bands that you love, the others that I recommend in my previous thread are great too. Have a listen to them if you don't believe me... ;)
