THE FOOTBALL THREAD Vol 2

Neither team deserved to lose, so in the end, it was down to the lottery of the shootout.
Felt damn sorry for Terry. What an outstanding character and athlete.

I think John Terry deserved missing the penalty. He spit on Tevez after Drogba was sent off. What goes around comes around....

Not conclusive but terry was definitely up to no good. The incident with Tevez was blown out of proportion by Chelsea players and it was terry that made it worse and it all ended up with drogba getting sent off.

Chelsea had done the same thing - kick the ball out for a throw in when United's Rio was down with cramps.

terry, as captain should have jumped in to calm his players, instead he escalated it. He is a cheapo and many have called him a racist including Eto'o.

John + terry + racist - Google Search=

Absolutely no sympathy for him or his kind.

Just to answer those that said that Man United were lucky winners.

Take note that Chelsea's goal was due to a fluke - a weird deflection and Van der Sar slipping. They also cleared one off the line when their keeper was clearly beaten. I think it all evens up and the cleaner team won. And not some mob that goes after the referee and opposing players at every opportunity.

Even if I was a neutral I wouldn't have wanted a team such as Chelsea to win. Other than Cech and Essien, the other players on the pitch were horrible sportsmen.

And Grant has now been officially sacked as Chelsea's manager. Looks like Frank Riijkard is a hot favourite. And Frank will find good company with John Terry, Frank is a confirmed spitter.

terry certainly dont deserve it. he was doing it all for the team .
and if u think , spitting on tevez's face and missing the penalty hasnt got no link. how'd u react when someone feels happy when ur fellow teammate gets sent off. but i know drogba shouldnt have done that blahhh blahhhh .

i wonder why everyone is making a big fuss out of terry falling and making fun of it.
you man u fans should call urself lucky when he fall.
you guys should have felt that nerve splitting feeling before he took it .
we made u fear u had lost it.
and when things go the other way round , u guys tend to make fun of the cause.
its f*ckin pathetic. im disgusted by the way man u fans act towards the way john terry fell .
you should be thankful .
damn . please la. you dont see cristiano ronaldo's face here and there being made fun of by non-man united fans right.
though he missed that penalty . i strongly believe he is a good player. so is terry .
show some respect that he deserve.

or am i just over reacting.

Unfortunately, bro JaarVis you are over reacting. Take a look at the following animated gif. It's 3.2MB so I'm not embedding it to this post. But take a look at it > http://i30.tinypic.com/aylrn6.gif

And like I said in a previous post, Chelsea had done the same thing when Rio was down with cramps - they kicked the ball out to touch, towards the Man United goal area. None of the Man United players over reacted.

But when Tevez did the same thing, a bunch of hooligans started attacking him. And terry, instead of calming his team mates actually escalated the incident and it ended with Drogba getting sent off for taking a swipe at Vidic.

terry, as captain should have done much better - like calming his players instead of escalating things. And he ended it all with his despicable act towards tevez as you can see in the animated GIF above.

If you were a Man United fan, you'll know why the victory tastes sweeter with terry on the losing end and the way it all ended for him.

Cheers

Captains should appease the situation, John Terry is always the one who runs up to protest. It's these situations where the referees demand respect now and made an example of Mascherano, don't see that happening too much nowadays eh.
