THE FOOTBALL THREAD Vol 2

Even i cud do a better job than wenger right now......

No other competition left ..still wanna leave van persi on the bench till the 89 min? ........ Why never use vela, eduardo??? Why use merida? Why eboue?

Dahlin, u wanna sack almost the entire Arse squad! I tell you, you need to sell Silvestre's ass as soon as possible. There's a reason why he was discarded from Utd.

Yeah, i too wonder what Pool fans must be thinking now, man. HAHA! Tough one! Eitherway, it's all about favours. Utd did Spurs a favour by beating City with a last minute stunner, Spurs did Utd a favour by winning Chelski, Wigan did Utd a favour by beating Arsenal cos now Utd don't have to worry where AFC are concerned & can just focused on chasing Chelsea right till the end. Now, Utd will need some favors particularly from rivals, Pool and Chelsea will also need favours...

Lol FGL chill out man.........now you know how Pool fans feel just about every match. 'Why Lucas and not Aquilani?' 'Why keep Torres on the bench when Voronin's sucking?' Some parallels here.

Okay, it is kinda a good thing that Pool won 3-0 last night cos now their confidence has been lifted and then hopefuli they'll put up a good fight and showing against Chelsea! Woo hoo!! :p

Song could return for Manchester City game

  • Alex Song may return for the visit of Manchester City on Saturday evening.

The midfielder, who has missed the last three games with an inflamed cartilage, faces a fitness test on Friday.

The inclusion of the Cameroon international is the only major change possible from the squad that lost at Wigan last Sunday. That is because Andrey Arshavin (calf), Manuel Almunia (wrist) and Denilson (groin) are still out.

“Maybe Song [could be off the injury list],” Wenger told TV Online on Thursday. “He has a test tomorrow and we’ll see. He is a question mark.

“Apart from that, nobody is back. Andrey Arshavin is out. Everyone else - Gallas, Fabregas, Almunia, Denilson - is still out too.”

Meanwhile Kieran Gibbs (foot) and Johan Djourou (knee) are approaching fitness after long-term injuries. However Wenger believes only the latter has a possibility of playing again this season.

“Djourou has a little chance,” he said. “But Gibbs will be very short.”
