THE FOOTBALL THREAD Vol 2

Anyone read yesterday's newpaper?

David ngog's dive against b'ham voted dive of the decade ..

which newspaper? the FGL Times? odd that you haven't posted a pic of the article like you always do.

I do admit, ngog dived. no two ways about it. but c'mon, is he the first player to dive in the box? I would run out of forum space if I were to list players who have dived to get an unfair advantage. So does that make jonny evans 'tackle' on drogba the kungfu kick of the decade?

it really seems that this year is the official "Let's all have a good laugh at every Pool mistake" year, isn't it? i think as true arse fans, some of you seem to have lost the plot a little bit. real arsenal fans would be concerned about the teams fighting them for the league title. i think a wake up call is in order here. how to get your quad *rolls eyes* when you keep supporting the clubs that are your bigger challengers?

also, you seem to have gain some expert control in not replying to what i say to you. can't come up with a good enuff rebuttal or just malas to layan? i would lean closer to the first one though... now i guess those ppl who you have upped their points for will be the ones fighting your battles for you. good job in creating your army of minions.... ;-)

please lah, i'm still waiting for your comeback to this post;

is there an "APPLY LOGIC" button on your keyboard? if there isn't, i suggest you head to sim lim and try to source for one. cos according to your statement, you say that pool has to win every game from here on out to qualify for CL & the rest of the top are also NOT going to lose till the last game, thus denying Pool the chance of CL qualification next year.

you must make a fortune at Singapore Pools with your clairvoyance. LOL!

undefeated (also known as ZERO defeats) = all draws / all wins / some draws + wins. not necessarily all wins. you have "ability to understand simple english" on your keyboard ?

p.s. i made quite a bit with liverpool's recent 4 defeats. *thumbs up*

and something to keep you entertained,

taken from your post in the liverpool thread;
I just don't understand why a DIE HARD Arsenal fan would urge Spurs (bitter rivals of London) just to beat Pool. In my thinking, this guys is a bloody Man Ure fan and is too bloody coward to some out and say it, so he poses as a Gunner to hide his true motives and then he comes here to laugh shrouded as an Arsenal fan. I've noticed a few ManUre fans doing this over the years and it's really quite sad.

Whens Spuds kicked LFC's butt in the first game, I thanked Spuds for crippling a "bigger challenger". Then you replied with above quoted. Who says we're not focused on "bigger challengers" and of course, if we can get all the advantage, even from our rival teams, why not applaud them?

and as stated in your post in Man Utd's thread;

if you don't like what i post, don't reply. simple as that.... ignorance is bliss, after all....

so we just choose not to reply.

we ALL luv rafa & want him to stay as long as possible:mrgreen:

ahhh, one of the minions has stepped forward. how many times must your points have been upped to have put on his armour for him?

no comeback for it required cos it seems you still haven't gotten the keyboard I recommended to you yet. i see you casually chose to leave out your original post in the quote. smart move there, boy. basically you tried to ground it on a technicality of words, (zero defeats = all draws/all wins/some draws/some wins rubbish). c'mon boy, I must say you were quite clever enough to cover your tracks there for what you really wanted to say about Pool when you posted the original statement.

you talk about the spurs game. dude, that was the FIRST game of the league. its like nearly past a quarter of games played now & you jokers still love taking a rib at LFC even though we're below on the table, so let's hear you cover up for that then. I had nothing but respect for AFC fans till I started seeing some of the comments that you and your uppity friend chose to post here abt LFC. This is a message board for anyone to post whatever they are allowed to. But some ppl must also learn to take back what you give. If you choose to ignore, it means you can give but can't take it back. Bet i must make good gossip fodder for you lads when you meet up & hold hands to watch your beloved team play eh? ;-)

speaking of bets, congrats on all the profits you made from LFC losing. i made quite a bit myself when AFC lost to the two manchester teams...

and neither did you found yours. so nope, no replies for you. don't you go crying now that people choose to ignore your posts. *pats jvd747's small boy head*

but in the event he gets the chop - can always go and sell satay in bali ... :mrgreen:;):)

Premier League - Cudicini 'seriously hurt' in bike crash

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident.

The Italian broke both wrists and injured his pelvis after his BMW motorbike collided with a Ford Fiesta in Walthamstow at 10.30am on Thursday.

Cudicini was taken to hospital in an ambulance, while an air ambulance was flown in but not used.

A police spokesman said: "A 36-year-old male suffered injuries described as possibly life-changing and was taken to an East London hospital for further assessment and treatment."

The female driver of the car and her passenger were reported to have escaped serious injury and did not need hospital treatment.

A Tottenham statement said: "Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning.

"The 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff.

"The club will update supporters on Carlo as soon as there is any further information."

Cudicini arrived at Tottenham from London rivals Chelsea on a free transfer in January but has spent most of his time at White Hart Lane on the bench after failing to dislodge first-choice Heurelho Gomes.

I hope he has a speedy recovery. It's been a sad week for footballers.

Didn't want to see his career to end because of an accident.
