well..there r ppl who claim to have these 'exprience' before here in singapore...but its up to us to believe it or denied it...

I just came back from yishun 10 after watching the movie at 9. the process of her exorcism and her getting possessed. really. scared. the. f***. out. of. me.
maybe because i'm a timid person.
i think she's one brave woman. willing to sacrifice herself to tell others that "God is not DEAD." like how the others said in the movie.

The lady named Michel is dead... she died 20 years ago.

I did some research in the bible after watching to movie and found all the 6 demons in there which were mentioned in the movie. The 6 of them were

(1) The demon who possessed Cain who then murdered his brother Abel

(2) The demon who possessed Nero who became probably the most evil
emperor of Rome.

(3) The demon who possessed who Judas who then betrayed Jesus.

(4) One of the demons who possessed the man mentioned in Mark 5:10,
Legion was it's name. There were many demons in that man.

(5) Then there was belial, said to be an arch demon.

(6) Lucifer himself, aka the devil or Satan.

Personally, I do believe in demons and evil spirits and possessions. But I guess it's best not to offend or dwell in in such things as these. After watching the movie, I understand better why bad things do happen to good people. It's more disturbing than scary, and very thought provoking as well..
 
Hi. just wanna share my thought on this movie. For some reasons i thought that this film would be as scary as "the exorcist". however it did not turn out to be. 2/3 of the film were mostly focused on the courtroom battle. The only scene which i thought was scary was this scene where the girl's boyfriend woke up and saw emily lying on the cold hard floor, with a tortured expression and her body seemed to be jerking and stiff at the same time. anyway i think jennifer carpenter did her role as emily very well. overall ill give this movie a 2/5. should haf watched that thai flick tom yum goong instead. haha. sawadika.

Those courtroom scenes are impt. This movie is about the Exorcisim of Emily Rose. Not The Possession of Emily Rose. I guess, this film is more of like telling the story of emily rose rather than trying to scare the shit out of the audience.
 
it wasn't meant to be a possession movie in the first place, but the mere title suggests just that. the local papers even made a head-to-head comparison of it to 'The Exorcist', which shouldn't happen but inevitable...
 
Yeah, the 'exorcism' in the tile led me to think of the movie that way...until i read what was posted here. Very intriguing story for me...
