About the mayan cycle,in my knowledge the world would experience a drastic change in temperature and such where catastrophy and disaster will occur.
The North and South pole will move to the East and West respectively.Singapore may experience 4 seasons when the Earth changes its position.

anyway there is no such thing as the planet dying. the planet is a ball of matter. the only thing that can die are the organisms that live on it. the only thing that matters are human beings and things that human beings care about, which means that people are biased towards maintaining a hospitable environment for their own survival.
it can be argued that viruses are living organisms (the fact is still uncertain). bacteria are life forms. but if all viruses in the world were to be extinct, i don't think anyone would care. in fact we would prefer it that way. viruses and bacteria that cause disease and sickness are part of the earth. and yet, we would prefer for it to be gone from this earth. that means we are selective in the preservation of life on earth, even the person who claims to love the planet the most. this is hypocrisy.
secondly, human beings consume the resources on this planet just like everything else. resources on the planet are finite. it can be argued that we are at the top of the food chain. which means that our survival would necessarily be at the expense of other organisms. we can only regulate our depletion of the earth's resources. therein lies a going concern of the earth: the earth is only important if we and the things we care are alive. if not, we couldn't care less. nobody will choose the life of some stupid animal at the expense of a human life, i.e. human life is valued above everything else. this is also hypocrisy.

Shinobi,I do not understand the purpose of expressing your view on human nature.Which I find is rather irrelevant to the topic.Unless of course,to show everyone what a smart little boy you are.

1st, I do not think it's a retarded thread at all. Soft forum is not just about music, but also soccer, and many thing else (maybe even about dildos, who knows) like this one .
I dont for a second agree earth is not a living orgasm. I think it is, if you look at red blood cells, do you think red blood cell is living orgasm, what about brain, legs, stomach, liver, but when they do combine it becomes a living orgasm. I do not think of earth just as a place to live, but also a absolute huge mass of living energy spinning the world around. We are human beings, and we are born selfish, thus the hypocrisy. Do we care about the Mars, we care about Mars ONLY if the Mars were to affect us in some way, we are born that way.
