I've seen thousands of people showing the sign.I admit i'm one of them.However do we all really know the meaning behind this sign? -"Oh!My band mate use it alot and I think it's cool..it means rock on!rock on brother ..ROCK ON!\m/ \m/..YEA BABY YEA!"

I did a research on the sign(\m/) it's called a corna. i'll tell u there's alot..ALOT of things behind this symbol.there are seriously many meanings behind this hand sign and i thought we softies ought to know(not all!..just know enough bout it) bout this kindof stuff because of our music.
In my research, the corna, when u point it at someone, means u curse upon tt person.I saw this guy(outside of the bus) pointing to another guy who was inside the same bus i was in.He was like smiling thinking," yay! i got rocked on", while others might think "Gosh! this guy is happy to be cursed".
So the point is, the symbol is really complex.It may not be to you, but it is to me.It could mean "rock on", or "curse u"..wadever

Another thing. this sign,where u do the corna(\m/) with ur thump placed out, i found out that it meant "I love you". It was specially created(according to my research) for the mute to convey "i love u". Ppl get confused with that and the corna and use it quite often. I've seen many ppl doing it to their own gender,esp males.If they meant to do that then i'm seriously disappointed that Singapore has too many homos arnd.lol.I mean..it could mean smt else for you guys..like "see you 2morow man,peace".. tt's ur own stuff, but to me it means "I love you"

Dio popularised the smybol during performances(according the wiki)..and like many, he thinks the corna has become overused?
take a look at what he said - "I used it so much and all the time and it had become my trademark until the Britney Spears audience decided to do it as well." lol.. can u imagine that?..haha.

Actually, the person who created the sign meant for it to "ward off the devil" when he is performing..
Ironically, some dimwits says (yes it is still ongoing today) it is a praise to the devil..
Another irony is when fans of music that actually praise the devil, use the sign meant to ward off the devil..

anyways we can't just jump to conclusion bout them posing or anything.. maybe they do it for the "right" cause.. we really wouldn't know.
like everything u do they's consequences..u can go on the street and just kick someone's butt.u can!.. but the consequence is tt the person might beat u up or smt.so likewise, when u show the corna in the streets or even ride a skateboard and do amazing stunts.. to some, u r just trying to pose or showing off(i don't mean myself).. now tt's the consequence one might get.. of course others might think u r really a cool person too.. tt depends on the person's thought.
