The Beatles!

Any Beatles fans here? My all time favourite band :) Don't get me wrong, though. I listen to other bands like Bee Gees, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden etc but the Beatles seem to have a special place in my musical influences :)

I love their music. I remember the 1st Beatle song I heard was Rock N Roll Music way back when I was 7 years old haha courtesy of The Complete Beatles documentary video I watched. It was taped by my dad back then. And Beatles For Sale album was the 1st album that I listened to and I got hooked from there.

Lets talk about their contributions to music history, basically just about anything!...like what guitar/bass/drums gear that they used. I have an Epiphone Casino guitar with Bigsby tremolo in vintage sunburst and it looks exactly like George Harrison's Casino, when he was touring back in 1966. ;)

John, Paul, George, Ringo, these are 4 names that will forever be in my mind...hehe :P

You just found yourself a Beatles fan! Well for me Paul McCartney is definitely my favourite member of the band, no doubt about that. He had a awesome voice and wrote some of the band's greatest songs e.g. Let It Be, Hey Jude, Blackbird etc.( No offense to John lennon) He's a great songwriter and vocalist too. I mean, the dude wrote Imagine! :)

Yesterday is an awesome song. When the orchestra kicks in, it''ll make u weep. Its no wonder this song has been covered over and over umpteen times. :)

izzyrose: Both John and Paul wrote great songs based on what they are going thru. I think they both bonded well cos both lost their mothers when they were young. Read this somewhere.

Without the beatles, there won't be today's music!
The beatles are an amazing band, John and Paul sing so well, the songs are well written. I prefer the post 66 era, where if you know the rumor about paul's death. They were more experimental, with albums like ""Abbey Road", "White Album" and my all time favourite "Sgt Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band."

1st song that got me hooked was A Hard Day's Night. Once I heard it, I went on to find more beatles stuff, soon I got hooked and never looked back.

one of my fav bands too haha, even my hair kinda looks like them. not exactly but maybe 80% or so.

do you like the other british invasion bands like herman's hermits, gerry and the pacemakers etc etc?

i absolutely love the song come together.
the little bass groove will be stuck in your mind for a long timeeeee.

Plastic: Oh yes, the opening intro chord of Hard Day's Night, I think its in the key of G. I think that was the debut of the famous Rickenbacker 12 String :) And the movie also inspired Roger Mcguinn (spelling?) of The Byrds, who will use the Rick 12 String exclusively.

Des99: There were no doubt countless number of British Invasion bands like The Kinks, The Animals, Freddie and the Dreamers, The Who etc. The Beatles paved the way for other British bands to make their mark in America. The Rolling Stones, if I'm not wrong, were actually rivals to The Beatles.

davin: My band covers that song all the time. Groovy riff, I agree :)

They were the first to put feedback on a record. Just listen to the intro of I Feel Fine :) Purely accidental at that time.

^beauty! love it.

the Beatles were the first in almost everything. I hold the belief that they invented pop music
