Have any of you guys tried this? I recently decided on an electronic kit over an acoustic one to be considerate to the neighbours, but apparently the vibrations from slamming the kick pedal are disturbing them. I'm assuming that the pad noise isn't the problem (even though the RHH130 hi-hat pad does get a bit noisy at times), since in the past I've had music on quite loudly till the wee hours of the morning without receiving any complaints.

This solution seems to be quite successful for many people, but unlike in the US where you can just go to a Home Depot and purchase everything, I have no idea where to go to purchase the stuff I need, or what online community to seek this advice from.

1. What's a good place to order MDF wood? Need them to cut to size and probably deliver since I doubt the size I need can fit into my dad's car.
2. Does any hardware shop RENT tools instead of selling them? I'll need a drill and a circular drill bit but I don't see myself using them after the project so if possible I'd just like to rent them.
3. Has anyone tried this solution locally with any success?

Thanks in advance, guys :)

that's interesting. im not sure where exactly you can get MDF boards but you could try ordering from art friend if they carry it? otherwise, you'll have to look for them in wood factories probably in the industrial areas. good luck in looking for them!
as for the tools, if you happen to know any friends in secondary school or poly, try asking them! secondary schools have D&T workshops while the school of design in polys should have workshops too :)
