Temperamental ts808 footswitch

Got myself a used ts808 recently. Love the sound of it except for a footswitch that seems to be quite temperamental. Sometimes it works sometimes I have to stomp really hard on it to switch on/off the pedal. So I'm wondering if it is a normal 808 issue or do I need to send the pedal for repairs.

Tried searching for answers on line but somehow, there's not may treads/topics on this issue. So wondering if any 808 users can help?

Probably not a normal issue.

Seems like the previous owner sold it to you without mentioning the fault.

Perhaps... If it is the I can only blame myself for not checking properly when I bought it.

But I did find 2 threads(one on analogman's website where there was a mention of a "flaky" footswitch replacement and one on the seymour duncan user group) both had the same issue where the footswitch won't work properly but there was no mention of a remedy or solution, so I'm trying my luck here to see if anyone has any similar past experience.

Hmm, was trying to see if its abnormal or normal for a 808 switch to be like this... But seems like there's not much response I'll bring it down to a shop to get it checked.
