tapping..

hey guys....sorry to resurrect an old topic but...i think i know how tapping is executed already...but i need to be sure..

was messing around with my axe today....with the usual hammer ons and pull offs when i tried using them with tapping....coming up with this simple riff


e-1h3p1-( 8 )-3p1-( 7 )-3p1-( 5 )-3p1-( 7 )-3p1-( 8 )----

simply put, after pulling off 3 to 1, i tapped at frets 8, 7 and 5 while the string rang out..

is this correct?

if it is, i really enjoyed sounding like paul gilbert for a day lol.

It might be ... tapping... maybe you have found another technique?

But seriously, if it sounds good, you don't strain yourself, what is there to stop you from carrying on?

i think its is.....well, except that ive never done one with a pull off before and it sounded so......cool!

it really sounded good, and i guess ive taken another step into soul playing and musical expression
