SX Bass

jony, i think he is asking whether the SX is good, not which is better. the SX is a good starter bass, from what i heard. but the stock tuners, knobs and pickups might need changing :D

Cannot compare SX and warwick lah, wah lau, thats like nissan and ferrari. Warwick sure win one.

i've had good results with SX guitars rather than their basses. nothing wrong with the tone but the fitting could've been much better.

on a budget + need a bass = check out Samick's Fairlane bass...

is it any better? that's not the issue- it's less problematic, more value-for-$$ IMO.

Sorry.. Juz got a lil unsettled..

I don't get what you mean by unsettled... but anyway!

You can get a good SX, you just have to try. Of course, the old man at Davis won't let you touch one for more than 30 seconds so you'll have to try your luck at those. There have been SXes out there with very good construction... and they make pretty good project basses because of their similarity to Fenders. It's kinda like a MIM Fender I guess. Hit/miss.

i think the consistency in them is better than MIM's. it's easier to get a good sx. for the price they're amazing. better than tmg anyway. with the right mods on a nice sx, it performs better than a MIM and at a cheaper total cost.

yeah i heard a lot of good stuff about SX basses. i wanna know whats a good SX bass, cos i used to play bass and stopped for about a year and im thinking about starting again but i have a lack of cash now, so yeah.

i used to play a fender MIM, so i was thinking about getting a SX and modding it. i'll wait till i have enough cash before seriously starting to invest in fenders. thinking about getting a thunderbird too.

Generically SX basses have a good built to it ... my friend's SX bass had a very nice feel to it and it was the beginner's pack that cost him 250 .. i bet the bass was like 150? ... and the tone and playability felt 5 times the value ...seriously ...

LTD are built for rockers/metalist lah ... so consider wisely ...

yeah i agree. i wouldnt buy a ESP. nothing against them, but the look and feel of it just doesnt suit my style of music.

humbuckers!!humbuckers!!!

sorry.

im juz obsessed with them..hahaha.
