I went to Swee Lee at Bras Basah the other day, needed to replace the nut on my guitar.
So anyway, I told them I bought it second hand, then the girl who I was talking to picked my guitar up and examined it. Then she brought it to another malay dude and they were looking at it intently. Then the malay dude told me the body shape and the horn looked weird, then said some other nonsense like "Oh we look at Fenders everyday so we're familiar with the shape."
This is my guitar, you guys at Soft already agreed it looked authentic:

So anyway, the thing the people at Swee Lee didn't know was that when I actually bought it second hand from Cash Converter for $600, it had a Swee Lee Music Company and a $1600+ price tag sticker. It even had a sealed plastic bag containing the Fender Owner's Manual etc all those things in the front pocket of the bag.
The dude then told me they didn't fix stuff there, then referred me to their Sims Drive place, so I was like "Okay, thank you." and just left. Now, I don't think I'll trust those two people at Swee Lee again. Really, I don't know what those people were trying to pull. :-/
