sweaty palms

Wipe it down i suppose?

Most of my guitars have necks with glossy necks. Sweat + Gloss = Extremely uncomfortable and difficult playability

oh man finally...a solution...my friend see me play and says niagara falls on the fretboard.....what was the name of the medication again..i'll try anything...!!

Wet sanding? When I bought my guitar, the maintainence guide says you can wet sand it. Don't quote me on that though. I have pretty dry palms so it shouldn't be a necessity for me. :smt003

sweat stains my gold top real bad
use dunlop 65. 1 bottle can last very very long. make sure u wipe until u can see your face in it.

yea i love wiping my guitar it gives u a sense of enjoyment and especially when the goldtop pickups shine man its like wah really a mirror can see ure reflection...

i dont care about sweaty palms juz bear with it

I'm the total opposite of you guys. The more battered and worn my guitars look, the happier i feel

DRICLOR is really great man...i use it 4 only 3 days...my sweaty palms are all gone...although when i first used it...it does sting a little...but after that..its all clean and dry

hmm...really no side effects after using it? think i should give it a try too..coz i have some serious sweating palm problem :( is applying powder to ur hand helpful? though it will make your neck and fretboard looks white hee...

hmm..the only side-effect i have is the after apply 4 sometimes...my palm gets real dry..and will see very fine crack on my skin...

hmm..does the dryness of your skin last permanently or just for some time?
was afraid it would have more serious side effect..if im not wrong..its not that easy to cure sweaty palm..you have to undergo surgery :?

I'm thinking about the long term solution man, surgery. Friend of mine had it done, got referals from polyclinic and said the cost was about 900. It's expensive man... but at least you won't have to worry about uncomfortable playing sessions or your fingerboard and strings getting stained and rusting faster than usual..

After surgery, the sweat wont come out of ur palm but it will come out form somewhere else. As for Driclor, some said it might cause cancer, but its not scienctifically proven.

well if somebody use driclor and suddenly got cancer, just say this 'u use driclor before?too bad lor' hehehe,jk
reminds me of my classmate, he got sweaty palm, then he undergo surgery in hospital, guess how much he spend for the bloody surgery...$30k
after that surgery ah, his body sweat damn easily sia,the niagara falls switch from his hand to his back, should have kept the $30k and live forever with sweaty palm

i have heard bad things about the surgery too..my cousin went for it..but she wasnt completely cure..sweat still will come out frm her palm..and heard there will be some side effect ~_~ i dun think driclor can fully cure sweaty palm..if not there wldnt be need for that surgery liao

it kinda weird, when i play the guitar at night i hardly sweat at all , unlike in the afternoon, i sweat until i lose my fretting grip. Since then i've been pushing my practising sessions to the night. or even in the morning.

what driclor do is to like block the sweat pores in ur palms...but after sometimes when u dun apply driclor...the effects of it will be gone...den mus apply again lo...

I believe sweaty palms comes from your nerves, just like shaky fingers. The most important thing to play a good presentation is to cool yourself down, as a form of relaxation. So if your body is relaxed and your heart is calm, you can play any music with hands that is not sweaty.

Also, before you start playing, wipe your hands with a cloth, making sure they are clean and not wet, so that when you play guitar, your hands would not leave any dirt or water on your guitar.
