Swap humbucker with p90s

i don't quite understand your query- do you wish to know if the cavity is adaptable to this change or whether the guitar per se can handle tone matching in general?

ah sorry about that, i meant whether the p90 can fit into the cavity of a humbucker guitar, cos from what i understand is the p90 is slighltly smaller right?

a simple answer would be no.

however, you can invest in a humbucker-sized P-90 pickup like these:

Yup if u want versatility go for the p-rails! Although it is kinda complicated to wire due to the multiple options u get out of the PU, but it is nothing that a gd tech can't handle.

As a user of the mean90s, i have them installed into my gibson sg......and it is really nice, fat and warm (to me sounds more like a hummer with alot more clarity, some refers them to a single coil on steroids lol), alittle on the dark side if u get wat i mean. But for its price and tone, definitely a must try!

wanna to ask...
if i put gibson mini humbucker from firebird...
into a P90 size one can ma???

by the way the wiring is it similar or wad?
or humbucker has diff wirings than soapbars?

chances are, the soapbar features only 2 conductor (it's still a single coil unit) as oppossed to the typical humbucker with 4 conductors.

anything is possible, but you will have to understand which one is which.

1) Wiring issues, no issue at all. Whether is it a pickup with 2 wires(single coil) or 4/5 wires(humbucker) coming out from the pickup, it is not an issue. Any guitar tech that charge others money for working on the instrument, should and must know what to do. This, you wont have to worry, just pay the guitar tech and let them do the job

2) Swapping different sizes pickup. The measurement/dimension of the physical size of the pickup you want to swap are different. It wont be a straight, drop in and wire it up process.

With the swapping of a different size pickup, either theres a need to "dig out" more wood from the guitar or "filled" up the excess space in the pickup cavity in order to fit the new pickup. Some of the pickups you have mentioned, in general are really obviously different in size, so it wont be a straight, drop in and replace process.
