Ok hi guys, I'm a beginner guitarist, mostly playing for about 5 months and thinking about getting a low budget guitar(isn't this somewhat common?).

Anyway, as said earlier, i'm looking for a low budget guitar with good quality and an amp that's just as good.

I have come to a decision(after painstakingly doing research for 1 week) of buying a guitar in s'pore and an amp in msia(I live in JB btw), and I'm stuck at two combos.

My first combo: Epiphone special 2 + a 15watt 4" X 8" marshall amp.= SGD550

My second combo: A Rally GL-400/GL-300 + a 10 watt marshall amp = SGD520/SGD490

I'm considering the GL-400 because of
1.positive feedback(in thread below)
2.Looks are OMG gorgeous
3.Shop is near the causeway(very convenient for me)

I'm considering the Epiphone because of:
1.Understood quality
2.Really affordable
3.More money for amp(cause I heard the amp is really important)


So now, I need consultation on which combo to get. If I'm getting a Rally GL-300/400 + 15 watt amp, I'll have to wait until june next year cause i can't afford it.

So advice please!

Get the Rally. It's really value for money. Standard Value is having a sale now. 15% off so you will have more money for the amp. IMO dun get the 10 watts amp. Just go for a decent 15 watts.

Oh my SGD600... Still not enough.. Oh darn I guess I'll wait for next year.
