Excalibur New member Jun 23, 2008 #6 Can someone enlighten me what shielding does? Where's the cavity you're talking about btw?
JonEthan New member Jun 23, 2008 #7 shielding = covering your guitar cavity with conductive compound, then grounding the signals properly, so you can lock out unwanted hum. cavity = that space where the electronics are.
