hey i notice no one seems to talk about strings.... so what strings do u all guys use? for both acoustic and electric guitar/bass... anything also can .. but i would appreciate bass strings since i jus got a bass and am not too familar with what bass strings r good....

d addario. super light gauge, the corrosion resistant technology is :smt041
Their strings is guaranteed to be brand new at the time of opening the package. Unlike some other brands sold in sweelee.

my squier now using DR red strings..... its not bad..... although i went overseas for 2 mths...so no one gav3e it much maintaince... the strings still never rust... i find the gauge jus nice... not too thick that it is stiff and not too thin that i hurts when u do ur solo ing.... i really recommand it... anyway... its unique.. haha... very attract attention...

Just a side note, do you guys change your brand of strings very often? Personally, I've tried most major brands like D'addarios, GHS, Elixirs (i can feel my pocket burning), Fenders, PRS, DR. I settled on GHS because i think it lasts for a considerably long period of time and it sounds/feels good (D'addarios always have this oily feel to their new strings which i don't like). So i set my guitar up with GHS Boomers. I heard from many luthiers that different string brands with the same guage may sound differently in your guitar so intonation may be affected.

tried esp strings. they give you 7 strings in a pack, an extra e string, and also an esp sticker. Thats quite alot of freebies for a pack of strings. They're ok, not the best though

anyone tried the Dean Markley Blue Steels strings before?
supposedly it's treated with some cryogenic processes... i thought it's only for preserving crazy ppl who wants to be resurrected

well i've tried GHS's take on that..the subzero boomers..lasted pretty long before there's a bit of dirt on the strings...
