string gauge

wat string gauge do u normally use?
i bought 1 gauge .009 string last week.the e string broke 2 days later.
i bought a single string from the same shop wher i bought the string set(swee lee) n it juz broke a few minutes ago.both broke when i was tuning.

any advice?or shud i get a thicker gauge?

Where did the string break happen? At the neck or bridge?

What guitar are you using? What bridge does it have?


I use 0.09s - 0.42s on my floyd rose guitar... I whammy bar a lot and usually, no string breaks for the mth till I change the set.

the string broke near the headstock as i was tuning it...
it's a yamaha eg-112..the 1 tt comes as a package...
i think it's got a bridge like those on strats..i'm not familiar with bridges so i dunno..haha...
