Strat Guitar models

Hey guys i Have a question Reguarding certain Guitar models, esp Strats


As seen at websites, they have models such as ST-72, ST-54, ST71-TX, yada yada u get my point. I was hoping you guys could enlighten me what this "ST" and number things are? I didnt even know this stuff existed, only know the more common ones like fender hot rod, Highway One, American, American Deluxe. IS the ST thingy any one of them?

ST
TL etc models are Japanese models.

All other models (MIM / MIA / MIK and some MIJ artist series for US/export market) have actual model names and not numbers.

ST = Strat
TL = Tele

The number after that denotes vintage it is modelled after.

TX = Texas specials
US = US vintage pickups

There are some other codes that denote other stuff, but these are the most impt.

E.g ST-62TX = Strat , year 62 , Texas special pickups

also, thansk for the US/TX bit...but i see stuff at ishibashi webby like what AST,DMC, VSP, ALG,LS, MH,SPL im screwed up haha... im not good at acronyms

also why got stuff like ST-62G-TX/65B-TX ah?
I dont remember this planet having G years... lol, algebra?

ST62 and ST68 means it's a 62 spec and a 68 spec respectively.

DMC = Dimarzo pickups
VSP = vintage specs
ALG = Anodized gold aluminium pickguard
AST = aerodyne strat
LS = Lace sensor pickups
MH = matching headstock
SPL = left handed trem on right handed guitar
G = Gold hardware
B = Binding
