sticks?

eh seriously man...for all u punkrockers, use tama jap oak...much more durable...but ur fingers will ache after every session..

my fren has e travis' signature sticks, i tink it was made of some kinda metal, not wood, very hard plus it has some weight. i'd love to have that.

nkubi87 - for a period of time when i was drumming i always had blisters, until now my hands like gorilla, have very thick skin. lol

i think the cause of blisters is when you drum, you exert too much force because you want to play louder, usually during the whole course you dont feel it until when you take a break and then it starts to hurt.

one way that helped me was that i asked my guitarist not to be so HIONG, dont play the guitar so loudly.

then slowly you will learn how to control the grip and then start to play with blister free hands!

alternatively you can get drum gloves or stick plaster on the contact points.

i once played till my hands had blisters, or mayb i was holding it e wrong way.
hey dude i also experienced these stuff in my early drumming days..i suppose u held the sticks too loosely i think..cuz my blisters are around the thumb last time and i realised my sticks are way too loose..so held the sticks firmer and no more blisters! :D

but it would require more muscle power, and that would reduce the speed right? and tire yourself out fast..

dalton - i had them on my fingers.

yeah hard hitting is very tiresome and makes me lose stamina fast. but sometimes you dont notice it when your guitarist gets louder.

yep holding the sticks losely is one of the main causes of blisters.

haha since require more muscle power than go train more muscles lor..aiya if ur wrist flexible, speed wont be affected de la..haha

but speed doesn't depend solely on strength what. it doesn't mean the stronger you are the faster you'll become. is that right?
