Steinberger guitar string

I believe they sold them at Sweelee last time, not sure whether there's new stock. Last time I checked, these were really old!

If you own a Steinberger which uses double ball ends, the best thing to do would be to order the strings from overseas.

i see stock pile of Steinberger strings at swee lee sims, but the packaging looks kind of yelloish and stuff, looks really old, dont think they bring in any new supplies....

Yeah best bet is to order from overseas lah, or better yet if its cheaper, I am sure you could do a special order from a retailer here.

well, you're not obliged to get steinberger branded strings.
other manufacturers also do double ball end strings like d'addario or GHS.
so whoevers in charge of bringing those brands in could probably get them for you.

you can hunt down a string adapter that can be fixed at the... ahem... the... urr... the HEADSTOCK???

then you can clamp any other strings like a regular locking tremolo guitar.

last time musicyo had it for around USD50. If you're a steinberger for life person, IMHO i think its a good investment.

the advantages of a Steinberger is that it is a naturally "brighter" sounding guitar

This plus the fact that i do not have extremely acidic sweaty palms

means my one set of string is still in use since 199x ++

what guage are you using ?
i may have spare .. though have to dig my archive

hmmm

never occured to me that way
sounds great still
prob need another steinberger with fresh strings
for side by side comparison
for me to notice the difference

wah... must be super stainless steel strings or something like that.

the humidity here will kill any strings even if unplayed. I've got box of baritone scale strings are are slowly rusting. Must put into my camera dry cabinet already.

There were some at the recent Swee Lee sale. Old and cheap, but real La bella calibrated.

Edder - love your new signature. Hours of entertainment, this forum.
