Stardust Application Procedure

Hope this answers your questions, and for anyone who is curious as well. =)

To register:

01. Get the correct registration form

02. Email us at stardust@stardust2008.com with your completed registration form.

03. (For bands (Vocal Groups/Duets/Jamming Bands) only)
Additional copy of Page 1^ (1. band/group details)
Additional copy of Page 3^ (6. parental/guardian consent)

04. Make payment!

Are there any restrictions for the band category, for e.g backing looping track?

It should be alright. But it must be an enhancement to the music rather than being the music itself.

In other words, the band (as in with instruments) must be able to hold its own without the track. i.e. like if it's a urban beat track behind, that's enhancement. If it is a guitar line or melody line backing loop track then that is what we would count as being the main basis of the music.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

We have just confirmed it. This is for all soloists.

For all solo finalists, you get to meet Lee Shi Song or Lee Wei Song (subject to availability... but both are equally good) for 10 minutes!

As in a PRIVATE "Interview Session"

More importantly, we're still working on it, but you may have a chance of going ON RADIO together with Lee Wei Song himself!

About the judges, our second judge for band segment is still to be confirmed.

However, our most important band judge is Tan Boon Gee, who is a rather well known jazz drummer. Yes it is at Anaki Records.

ah ours sucked. we didnt know that we need to intro. lol. but what the heck. we'll do better.

i guess we were nervous. from the second to play to the first to play. who won't be nervous?
heheh not blaming it on anybody. i believe practice wasnt enough

ah so hat makes two of us. haha

no i could only hear my cymbals. then the breakdown part, i couldn't hear my rhythm's riff. i couldn't hear the guitar solo too. wah die lah like this. 58 bands, 12 only go in.

Can't blame the bands.. I bet all bands sound the same in that room..
The sound waves simply bounce back and gets muddled up..
The judges should stand outside and listen where its clearer! Lol..

haha but the weird part is, the judges (the female one) only told us wheres our intro. she didn't comment on the music..

They commented that me and my other guitarist had so many effects, yet sound so similar (no link but yeah)..
We didnt have a soundcheck cause they said they were running out of time.. Lol.. Ended up having the same EQ settings on the amp..
