Splash cymbal attachment on bass drum?

Hi, everyone here. I am planning to add a splash cymbal in the middle of the drumset in my church, without an extra cymbal stand. I wonder if there are any splash attachment which i can attach it on the bass drum hoop?

I went to Yamaha PS, and their staff suggest a triple tom holder, which i think doesn't fit the structure of the drum, let me show you the picture and you guys will know why.

Get one of this! Clamp and Boom Arm.

A more economical one would be getting a hi-hat clutch, then put your splash on and secure the clutch to your hi-hat rod! (Drum_hobbyist's idea)

That's the thing that can be thought of i guess. Unless you want to place it at other places. I remember I saw a set in my school which the splash is attatched with the bass drum.

haha you could get the three way holder also. then you have one empty slot that is available for future use. yea. get a three way and and JUST ONE boom arm maybe from ranking? i feel ranking sells the cheapest for such gear. though no brand la. yep then the boom arm acts like a normal cymbal stand le. yup. like the picture. something like that. you attach the three way to one of the metal rods can what.

However, the one that I got from there, I find the quality isn't as good. The screwing thingy can come loose and it just doesn't feel as sturdy as expensive ones. But the pricing is definitely a very BIG plus.

dude i have exactly what u are looking for, was using it too last time but recently sold off my drumset. PM me if ur interested. its very convenient, clamps onto the bass drum

hi i'm lookin for help, would a 16inch cymbal or bigger be too heavy for the clamp and boom arm ?? thx in advance : )

If you mean the one in the image above, yeah. On my kit I have one stand that holds a crash, a china, a tom, and a splash. The main stand is holding the crash, then one clamp and boom arm holds the 19" china and the splash is clamped onto the china's boom arm. Another clamp attaches to a tom arm.

The only thing you'll have to worry about is balance. In my case, because I clamped the china to one side and the tom to the other side, it still stays balanced.

I'm trying to avoid cymbal stands actually as i'm tinking it can help save some space, my room gettin cramp.

i'm using a pearl RT kit, would a Pearl AX-38 3 way clamp provide enough balance if i juz clamp e AX-38 to the tom tom mount which is connected to the bass drum ??? No pics though..

thx COR, i'm still quite clueless

Tomtom mount should be fine. After all it's in the middle of the bass drum, and quite a lot of weight there, so there should not be balance problem. But I forsee the problem that the cymbal might not be able to be positioned where you want it to be, depending on the length of the boom arm.

I got mine from Ranking. About $60 for a multiclamp and a tom arm.

Hey COR, did you get the one thats exactly in the picture ? I tried to ask for the exact one (which means the boom arm directly attached to the clamp) but ranking insist that they do not have anything like that.

Instead, they only offered me a clamp + the top half of the boom stand (the additional stand and boom arm) which isn 't what I want.

No, I'm using clamp + top half of boom stand. But that's really equivalent to the image. Just make sure you get the clamp that can rotate the angle of whatever's attached to it. That one's $25, the $20 one cannot rotate.
