actually, Venom sees himself as a good guy, a protector of the innocent.

the difference is that Venom is far less forgiving of people he sees as offenders. where Spiderman webs someone to immobilize him, Venom is more likely to rip his legs off. where Spiderman knocks a bad guy out, Venom might kill him.
