Speech level singing :)

Alice and Daniel are not in the same school actually, they're just teaching the same method..

I mean the more general meaning of the word school .. this one below:

"A school is a collection or group of people who share common characteristics of opinion or outlook of a philosophy, discipline, belief, social movement, cultural movement, or art movement"

Sometimes I forget that words don't mean the same in Singapore as they do in Australia :)

@GracePoh

I listened to the 2nd url... wow... very impressed...
I recently found my headvoice region (man after 5 years :( ... )
but unable to mix it with strength to really sing at that region...

$150 per lesson is pretty steep.. *-*

Haha, thanks :)
are you taking lessons anywhere?
gosh, i 've been singing like the first recording since i was maybe.. secondary 1 or primary 6? i was a belter man, i think i tend to pull alot when i try to hit those high notes.

In my opinion, 150$'s really worth paying for. Cos within about 6 months, i've already made such drastic improvements! :)

Yup yup, :D.

Hello! Just finished reading this thread! Anybody being coached by Alice, the other SLS certified instructor? May I know what's the rate like? I'm soo tempted to try but Im like tight on budget. :(

My sister in law took some lessons from Alice. She charges $50 half hour, $100 full hour.

The price is an issue for me too. I take something like 2 x 1 hour lessons a month, which is already expensive enough. But I would take fewer lessons with a better teacher over more lessons with a less experienced teacher any day.

How do you know, if you found your headvoice o.o?

Hi John,

No there is no certification from SLS (unless you become a teacher). But you don't need certification in the entertainment world. If someone is considering hiring you they will ask you to sing, they won't ask you what courses you've done.
