Sound at Baybeats Powerhouse Stage

Couple thousand? More like couple hundred. Was there and I dont think there was even more than a thousand in attendance.

I'd estimate 900-1100. There were easily 400 people for the acoustic set earlier in the afternoon. There were at least 500-600 at The Great Spy Experiment on Friday

Spot on, a few thousand seems too exaggerated a figure for just a single slot/timing.

Maybe over the entire baybeats festival...now that wouldnt be too off.

oh dude, u yourself had quite a handful of bemusely awed audiences while shredding the guitar at the booths :D and u had pretty good volume too, considering you could be heard eve as far away as the water side!

and for me, zero sequence definitely rocked the whole of baybeats, amazingly tight set, great sound. First time catching this new line up, and the new singer mang, who replaced ming, sure surged the already talented band to an even higher calibre :)

looking forward to more ZS shows!

Nah, i was waiting to catch a glimpse of the real master....too bad you walked by too quickly and it was just a fleeting moment. Was hoping that the true master(satch) could display his skills to the masses.

I agree with you about zero sequence though...their sound was just bad-ass, amazingly tight and all the member's solo parts just managed to shine and cut through the rather dense mix. Great showmanship too.

the new singer for zero sequence is damn EPIC
I think he's the vocalist of Goodfellas cover band at timbre substation every sat night..

I always thought he was very versatile when i saw them perform a few times at timbre, never thought he was THAT versatile though.. Super epic 5 second high note sustain!

The difference between NDP and Baybeats is the direction the sound is being blasted, and also the ppl involved. NEA got more say than Esplanade BUT LKY can tell NEA to go to hell....

The problem for Baybeats powerhouse was that the stage is firing right across the bay and straight at the ATAS condo... Outdoor Theatre is firing into Esplanade so the only ones who complain that one is the ATAS bar opposite Harry's..

Its too bad... don't know what Esplanade will do, but its hard to imagine a rock festival running at below 90dB... the audience can generate higher sound levels!!
