some distortion pedal...

im currently looking at some distortion pedals on the internet...
there are some quite cool pedals that i might be buying it...

ive seen and heard:
Boss MT-2 Metal Zone
Danelectro D-3 Fab Metal
Danelectro Cool Cat Metal Pedal II

but i need some other recommendations as im quite new to distortion pedals..

im looking for pedals that cn produce those dark and heavy tone...and the rich harmonixs

but im using $400 to buy the ESP LTD M-100 FM
so i'll be left with $100

is the Danelectro Cool Cat Metal Pedal II ok??
but ive heard that it can only get 3 tones

The Danelectro FAB Metal is a good choice. The set back is that it's plastic made.

I recommend checking out the EHX Metal Muff. Should be able to produce dark, heavy tones.
