Hi Warren, I will upload the videos online and the judges will grade from there. Spent the whole Monday sending all the amps and PA system to the sponsors. Today got to work and will be only back late evening.

Will send emails to everyone once I get them uploaded.

I was wondering whether judging performance from a video is fair and appropriate. Some recorders automatically adjusts the audio level during recording. Low-level signals will be boosted and high-level signals will be attenuated, and this means the band will sound balanced from the video. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The problem is what if the band does not sound balanced in the actual live performance e.g u can hear the bass louder than any other instruments. I guess that falls under Musicianship criteria?

If the recorder is accurate in capturing the actual live sound without adjusting the audio signal, i guess its fine. But I think that grading should be done there as well.
