Getting a slight distortion/overdrive on my clean channels....didnt have this before....I'm thinking I blew the speaker but its 2x12 so I think it would be quite hard to...any way to test if its broken or if its just cables or something else? Cheers. Is it possible that somethin on the guitar is causing this, apart from natural overdrive? Like I said, I didnt have before....

Hmmm... it would help to know what model of amp yours is. Also does the amp have some kinda channel switching?

Randall RG100SC...Has 2 channels, dirty and clean. I only use clean as i have pedals.

some pedals on low batt will 'leak' the distortion stuff.. i've experienced this with the grunge pedal.. check that out ..

Nope, i stil get it from amp-> guitar straight. It seems to happen after 20-30 mins of playing...if i swtich off for a bitm then its ok for another 20-30 mins...

Hmm.

my two cents: never open it up and tinkle around by yourself.. later kena shock (even if you unplug the mains cuz it may retain some current as well)

well, tore off the back of my amp and took a peak at the speakers..they are not visibly damaged....any ideas? Can this easily be fixed? Its really, really annoying and I need to record some clean guitar stuff soon...i think i take to mikemann....

you have to look at the speakers from the front. check if the cone infront is dented or torn, looking from the back wont tell u much.

I did, unscrewed them..no damage I can see.

Does mikemann fix amps also?
