Slight delay when direct input from pedal...

Hey guys at soft! I have a problem. When I connect my guitar -> pedal/amp -> computer, I can hear what I'm playing through the speakers, but the problem is, there is a slight delay. like about a few miliseconds delay. I can't record with this problem unfortunately... Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks lots guys!

What audio interface (sound card) are you using? ASIO or MME drivers? What software for recording?

Welcome to the world of latency. You should try to disable the playback while record mode for the track you're trying to record to. Or lower the latency. YMMV depending on how heavily loaded the computer is, and how iffy your soundcard is.

Probably onboard. With Windows there's little chance of achieving less than 500ms especially for AC 97. Dunno whether ASIO-4-All would help.

You can adjust the waveforms according to the timeline, just needs a steady hand and not even a good mouse.
