ahaha how do i slide?
any tips and techniques?
Does the guage of strings affect it?
Does the Type of strings affect it?
Does the Fretboard Affect it?
need To season the strings?

Or maybe i just suck. aiyo
im using daddario 0.10 light guage flat tops and its quite fresh
ive been playing quite long and still have problems sliding, at least it
improved with this new strings.

thanks all :-D

as in playing with a slide, or sliding with your fingers? if the former, higher action would help. if the latter, you can pretty much slide on any kind of strings, or guitar, or fretboard.

maybe u can try having your thumb hugging your fretboard. i find it easier to slide that way, though i usually overslide XD

You talking about slurring the notes? Then here's a tip: Don't slide the whole fretboard lah. Just slide from 1 to 2 notes away.

And yes, the keyword is PRACTISE!!!!!!!!!

yeah man, my advice: practice till your fingers bleed, rock till you drop \m/

hahh yeah the first song i learnt was master of puppets on an acoustic with RUSTED strings. stupid yeah. finger bled but i didnt care! i was rocking! oh shit got carried away.

still i dont get whats the problem u have? pain?

I don't think string gauge or string type affects sliding. For me, I fret a note, pick then slide up/down. Don't press too hard or too light. Start by sliding half steps then whole steps. Try sliding with every finger (well maybe not the pinky). When it's comfortable for you, try sliding up/down more frets. If it helps, wipe your neck before playing.

& Practice, practice, practice! :D
