I`ve been going gaga over slash lately haha. I dunno why its just the amount of feel he puts into his music. I feel that none of the guitarists in the new GNR can replace him though. The new guys like buckethead and all of those guys are supremely proficent in guitar techniques. Maybe even better than slash perhaps. BUT they just lack the feel that slash has. The new GNR are good but i still prefer the GNR of old. Please comment about how you feel ? Thanks man

I beg to differ but i don't find him getting sloppy at all. He's been working hard in the studio recording his solo record. Can't wait for it to be out! Maybe he has his off days too, you know, days where we just can't seem to nail certain guitar/bass parts right lol. Anyway, his mom just passed away today. RIP.

Possibly, but each time I youtube and watch him play with VR, maybe cuz he is moving and engaging the crowd, that explains his sloppy playing.

Slash inspired me to pick up the guitar. He is not an effects guy but still manage to produce good tunes.

yep slash was one of the few that inspired me to leave the metalcore genre behind.

Guitarists like slash/randy rhoads/doug aldrich/jimmy page/ritchie blackmore are my main influences.

IMO, no one can replace slash in the GnR camp. Even Mr bumblefoot cant. Without Slash GnR isnt GnR.

YEAH i agree man. Slash was the soul of gnr and axl was the voice. but without the soul there can be no voice .

Having GNR without Slash is like having Bon Jovi without Sambora. Both singer and guitarist need each other.
