Skermetta Guitars (if you love a Tyler!)

If you guys haven't heard of Skermetta Guitars, should go check them out!

Pete Skermetta used to work for Tyler and is now doing his own thing. He's got a very cool line of instruments, namely:

R-series : Singlecut style guitars
S-series : Strat style
T-series : Tele style
SN-series : Tele style with 3-a-side snakehead!

It is definitely something to look out for!

I would love to try(and maybe have) one of Pete's guitars someday. I have a feeling, based on rave reviews, that his tele and strat are like Tyler Classics( which cost twice as much) with his own take thrown in. The snakehead headstock may take some getting used to specially for traditionally-inclined players but based on my email with him, he said the benefit of it is the more even string tension over the nut. So that means no stiff-feeling tele. I also like his matte finishes and his bursts are works of art too.

He's also loves Pine bodies for his tele builds and for the neck, he prefers flatsawn over quartersawn because for him flatsawn is warmer and rounder in sound.
