single coil size p90s?

Hey all. please respond to this question

is there any single coil sized p90 pickups that are available locally? i'd like to put them into my strat and tele without having to route for p90s and but new pickguards. also, are there any other companies that produce these, apart from harmonic design? i'd love to get some of their pickups, but i can't ship anything in cause i don't have any credit cards and what not.

(any one want to share order? hahaha)

anyone has any experience with these or have some knowledge on this subject please talk to me.

in short - no. a p90 is a single coil pickup btw. google byran gunsher. he has a p90 voiced single coil

P90s aren't humbucker sized, well unless it's the humbucker sized ones.

yeah so if you're referring to humbucker sized p90s then you're looking for single coil sized humbucker sized single coils

which is basically a single coil i guess. easier to have an exact tone in mind (something not 'p90 tone') and then get the appropriate single coil brand/model to match that tone?

Each of these have varying characteristics in tone:
Single coils
Humbuckers
Single-coil sized Humbuckers
P-90s
Mini-humbuckers
Lipstick pickups

A P-90 at heart is an overwound single coil.. I have never found a P-90 in a single coil size.. In humbucker size they can be found, using the same coil but a larger housing.. So the tone stays true to the P-90s tone..

It is NOT.. It has its own size.. Its own routing required..
It CAN be in humbucker size, but it is NOT in humbucker size..

Choice of words bro.. Makes a whole lot of difference..

no.. its a soapbar pickup
slightly smaller than a humbuckler..
there are humbuckler sized ones though..
last p90 i had was in my Gibby bfg

ask a friend who has a credit card to help you purchase a pickguard for p90s from warmoth la. or perhaps custom make one locally

damn, i will probably have to cut off a pretty large chunk of wood off my strat to fit 2 p90s. but that will dramatically affect my tone right?
