single coil size humbucker

what single coil size should i get for playing bands like my chemical romance, dashboard confessional, taking back sunday etc etc basically the emo genre? and what would give more versatility? ie a good balance in treb mids and lows and can take distortion without getting muddy. but i dont play metal so i dont need over kill distortion.

im looking for a bridge pickup for a strat

distortion isn't pickup dependent- the pickup propagates distortion, but it's not a source.

you'd do well to select a model which has medium magnet strength, nothing too overpowering.

oh what i meant was whenever i play with distortion on my lace sensor golds the sound gets very muddy. any recommendations? i was looking at the chopper from dimarzio at the moment. any opinions on that?

Duncans JB Jr and Lil59 will do OK.
Dimarzio Hot Rails are fine too.

I dunno. I don't sell them and I don't keep track of the stock and prices of all the guitar shops in SG but as far as I know Davis is the dealer. Why not give them a call?

U can try those newly released single coil humbuckers from Tesla. Standard Value sells them, saw Mike installing those in a Strat last weekend

get the SD JB Jr. all u'll ever need. $99 at davis. i have one in my highway1 strat.

ok ok.... i keep forgetting myself... you're still new in this.
The JB Jr is as good as the one playing the guitar. It a good bridge pickup and it does a nice bridge humbucker sound in a single coil form. It can handle distortion well and it can cover the EMO(sic) genre.

humbuckers work better with 500k pots, regardless if they are the single coil size or otherwise.
