Singing sounds like particular singers

Hi,

I found that when I sing Andy Lau's song, sounds like Andy lau's voice. Sing Jacky cheung's song, sounds quite like Jacky cheung's voice. Sing Jeff Chang's song, sounds a bit like Jeff Chang's voice. Sing Panda Xiong Tianping's song, sounds quite like Panda xiong's voice. Sing Feiyuqing's song, sounds like Fei Yuqing.

Any idea into how to have my own unique voice when singing?

I know that kinda feeling...it sucks rite.

One way is to write yr own songs n sing yr own way...
U are what u write. Stop listening or singing cover songs...
U'll loose yr vibe n originality.

It may not sound nice but its yr very own voice n its a start.

Taking vocal training classes will help you find your own voice. Basically you need to learn singing technique. With good technique, your own voice can come out.

Without good technique you can still sound like other singers, but you will always find that you lack that special sound that they have. That special sound is what you will have when you find your own voice. And that is what makes people want to listen to you.

I havent record anything yet...if I have confidence I record...

maybe you are rite...I should try to write simple songs and sing my own songs...

Yeah...take up class and request for professional instruction on how to have my own voice....without imitate other singers...

Well, it's not easy to imitate other singers...it's sort of a talent by itself too...but if you wanna make it as a singer...u have to find your own voice lar...
