Guys, have you checked out the pricing on this year's tickets?!
Its going for $200 for 1 day, and $350 for both days.
LIKE WOAH!
Anyone willing to bust that MASSIVE amount of cash for the concert?!

it does have a pretty sweet line-up though.

Summer Sonic = ¥36k or S$330 for 2 days.

We better start getting used to these prices. Looks like they are matching up. But the crap thing is venues in Singapore are still too small to hold decent-sized multiple stages.

It's not expensive what.. Look at it this way alone..
If Simple Plan ALONE performs.. The tix would be around $90?
If Lost Prophets ALONE performs.. The tix would be around $90?
If Alicia Keys performed ALONE, it would cost around $120?

If these artists were to come on their own accord, you'd be spending twice or even thrice the amount to catch every act..
I admit last year's pricing for SINGfest was ridiculous.. But this is acceptable still..

For Summer sonic, they are getting much more better bands then this! Coldplay, jacks mannequin and many more! I rather pay that much more if i get to see them all in Singapore!

Fuji is out in some mountain ski resort north of Tokyo, Summersonic is held in multiple stadium/stage venues in the city (and without camping!)

Getting to coachella cost me about SGD450 for 3 days (including camping) and it's out in the Californian desert on a polo field.

but yeah, im not gonna pay those extravagent prices just to watch these 2 bands

Ah Sembawang Fest... Come to think of it, now I feel kinda stupid for paying 70++ bucks just to catch bands I didn't even listen to.
But oh well, young and stupid.

Sembawang Fest was a great idea executed by a very brave (or foolhardy) man. Another was Mosh Fest in 2006, it was like less than $20 but the turn out was still pathetic.

Maybe we all shld join forces one day.... one day
