Hi,

I'm gonna move from Vancouver to Singapore and I was wondering where i could get PRS guitars. I'm looking for a PRS Custom22 20th anniversary Platinum metallic colour. Can anyone help me please? or is it much better to get a guitar in the states than s'pore.

Thanks in advance! :)

u can find PRS at davis... located in the city area at B1 of Excelsor Hotel Building...

as for pod xt live... it can be found at city music at peace centre i think... lvl 2... costs bout S$600+

I feel it's better to get in States. More choices, cheaper too. If you buy in SG you have to add in the cost of shipping.

how much is the PRS TREMONTI COSTS?
and where does one sell?
Davis used to have, dunno now still got or not, several thousand dollars. PRSes dun really turn me on, so didnt pay much attention.

hmm..if im nt wrong last time when PRS haven kena sue by Gibson...davis sells it at around 750 to 850 liddat...but i think need to ask other softies to confirm

I think the list price is the same as the other SE models : $900

But Davis doesn't have stock now because the lawsuit just concluded not too long ago.

hmm..maybe its the same price at the billy martin SE...which is 850...cos the artist signature guitar usually is alittle cheaper

Very reasonable when compared to South East Asia region. But when compared to States, abit more expensive (SGD$200 +++) when shipping is accounted.

bear in mind at davis, you cant try out PRS's and some other guitars properly with a pick "because this guitar no pickguard"

but then that policy ensures that the guitar is in good condition. cos most other shops lets all those kids fool them into letting them try even though they arent interested in buying at all and that risks getting the guitar into bad condition and prs guitars arent cheap. if one is scratched how are the pple at davis gonna sell?

unless you're using a metal pick, any so-called scratches can be buffed out easily with some polish.

i'm not going to plonk down money on any guitar without sitting down and trying it out extensively and if the shop isn't willing to let one do that, they can go stuff themselves.

my guitarist and i walked into davis recently wanting to try out some of the PRS's and Brian Moores. one of the more expensive BMs caught our eye,but the moment we received the no-pick remark,we put it down, went over to swee lee and bought a $1800 ibanez prestige with cash.

Yup, like what unsane says, the marks left behind on the glossy polyester finish of BM/PRS can be easily removed by buffing it out with some polish. The poly finish is so resilient to scratches from picks that you have to scratch it on purpose or use a metal pick...

Davis sure has a very weird concept...

Yeah PRS finish is very2 thick, scratches are often due to usage of metal picks not normal picks. N yeah I somehow would rather get a 2nd hand PRS if this doesnt bother you. I rarely buy anything new, find that your money can go farther if youre buying second,...
