I know many of you Singaporean Drummers here are good - I've seen some of you done it (you know who you are as in our 2nd drum-meetup you solo very well )......but there are many I've not seen you drum (and I believe you are good).

The 2 minutes solo is no longer a must - in the preminary round....so no harm trying it out. I want but I really not up to standard lah- bros who saw me drum at meetup knows it...beginner drummer only.

I've a feeling - the below 21 years old title will be cling by our own S'pore young Drummers...but what about the Open-Category......There might also be drummers from Malaysia, and Other Asean Drummers comming here - -

Bros do our country proud man (if you can)- We will be there to support you all the way.

It's this Saturday & Sunday - - - - - -- Put up your names here lah (no need to be shy), it's really not a matter of winning or not (It's the spirit) - and we will be there to support - but 1st we need to know you all will be there....I get Pom-Pom Girls there if you are in the Semi-Finals...Kekekeke

faddt nice to see u posting again....you mentioned that you've just started drumming correct?......by next year you would probably be 1 year in drumming - still not enough time to prepare yourself for competition like that - - Drumming need a few years to be averagly good (a fact ) - and I have to admit I like your spirit here - you will be awesome oneday...Keep Drumming !

Faddt. I believe that if you really put your heart into practicing. It is possible to take part next year. I won't say that you'll win. But i believe that it'll be great for you to be able to experience it. Go for it man. Break out those chops and grooves. Great place to meet other drummers to network with.

Chewy: - - Great Sportmanship...my respect...I will go and see you all - if We are allow to see you all play, if it's inside a enclosed room, then no point...correct. I've check with Mr Tony Zee yesterday and he will call me back to let me know - if we can actually see all the contestant play.

Marc: - Jimmy was Tony Zee students (but that was many many years back when he was a very young boy) in Yamaha Music School...Jimmy then went further to improve himself at Drummer's Collective.

Today Paper

this is an excerpt from Today Paper of April 26,

"There are no big names but tickets are really expensive," said 24-year-old heavy metal fan Hashim Omar, who said he would nonetheless attend for a chance to catch Roddy in action.

"I don't think the ticket price is worth it just to catch a drum session by one musician".

i don't understand...
playing for Stephanie Sun ain't big enough?
playing for Santana ain't big enough?
playing in the Grammys for Usher ain't big enough?
playing in the House Band for Rockstar INXS ain't big enough?

it's not a drum clinic, it's a drum festival!

we're not watching a show of ONE drummer y'know?
we're watching a show of TEN drummers...
TEN big names!!!

do your homework before commenting, man!
