I dont think AHEAD can do the wood sounding rim shot right? Whats the term for that? Like for under the bridge verse parts.....

Dont just buy it cos Joey uses it. These sticks have been around for years already. Lars first endorsed it during the black album. Maybe its built for speed, I dont know, but i just get a weird feeling you know...playing aluminum sticks.

One interesting fact though, it reduces the vibrations but it increases speed of rolls? I tried the wood sticks with the shock absorbers (?) at Yamaha PS and I find that it was hard to find the bounce man. It just died off too fast.

Well anyways, whatever it is, be comfortable with it.

yea man i saw the vid of the cymbal testing and the ahead sticks sounded like crap on it.

I agree that AHEAD sticks sound a bit off on cymbals esp the ride..... my ride sounds better with wood..... but i stick to my AHEADS when im practicing.... oh yea... and the AHEAD sticks give me a fuller sound when doing flams than compared to my wooden sticks.... just my 2c
