Should I really get a new guitar?

Me not that small la standing at 1.76m. Maybe get a cushioned strap helps to reduced the pain? From some of your posts I seer that there's no need for me to change from a h-s-s guitar to h-h guitar..still considering my options.

H-H might mean a loss of certain versatility cuz u r forsaking 2 upper single coils for a humbucking neck...

i suggest more neck and shoulder exercise + more glucose syrup.. that should do the job.

where did u get that guitar?the only place i've seen slammer guitars r at indonesia..

u're 1.76? cool..a tad bit taller than me hehe. i have no probs carrying my (former) les paul around..

obtw u said it sounds better than ur amp if u plug thru pedal n then to pc.headphones? i do tt too cuz i hav no amp.. n when i play at high volumes thru my laptop the sound will be distorted..like as if there's in-built overdrive.. same goes for my earpiece..so i either hav to turn the vol down or pick softly.. maybe sound card issue eh?

I got it at Davis guitar abt 6-7 years ago..don't see it anymore now. Yeah playing on my headphones or pc is alot better for me..the amp gives out that "dirty" sound while on my headphones, even better on my pc, it sounds sharp. Usually I'm on headphones coz its easier to setup. I'm using creative 24bit exrternal soundcard and 2.1 speakers and the quality is marvellous on the stock pickups...can't imagine using better ones.

dudes piece of info for you.

In the old day when they dun have pedals or gain channels how people get that dirty sound is to pump up the vo lreal loud to OVERDRIVE the speaker to make it breakup.

what is happenin on ur laptop speakers and headphones is the same thing cept your speakers are alot smaller and not meant to take that kinda input so its breaking up like they used to turn up the amp way loud to make the speakers breakup. it has nothing to do with the soundcard.

You wanna play loud get a pair of good speakers than can handle the output or a pair of powered monitors.

i have a pair of Altec Lansing 5021 which are rated for 20watts a channel can do pretty loud with my UX1.

get a good guitar strap with pads, changing ur guitar cos it hurts is quite an unacceptable reason if u ask me. go gym, train ur traps or something?

aarrgghh!! Everyone's telling to go train up like I'm some kind of weakling!!! okok..so I tried playing standing up and it wasn't that bad anyway.. Probably a cushioned strap will do. Not thinking much I ordered new pickups from ebay so I guess I'll be sticking to this guitar.. not that I want to sell it off anyway. Its been serving me well and I so sayang to sell it.

Simpan the gitar lah kalau sayang. Get a new amp brader. IF you're still up for a new guitar, a Strat has to come to mind. Nonetheless, keep the Slammer. I've had a few regrets of selling my guitars in the past. Rindu wo.

ciel: thx for the info.. gave me lots of insights about the soundcard issue.. saved me a few 10 bucks from buying external soundcard lol..
btw tt was how overdrive n dist came about right? the overdrive coming out of my speakers is real awful tho..
