Hi fellow drummer friends, I came across this post: Totally shocking.

Cornerstone of Tama pedals is about to discontinued come Jan 09'. The news source comes from a drum dealer at Guitar Centre.

The hi-hat stand and and the clutch will continue to be in production. This news comes after the addition of the 'cobra spring' to the Iron Cobras. You could have well picked up the last few Iron Cobras if you had gotten an Iron Cobra from the Swee Lee sale!

there are no official word out of TAMA themselve except an insiders info from guitar center...

but then again u can't always discredit this tips..

if they are really discontinuing the precision engineered iron cobras made from experises of camco, then it would be something really big..

anyways pearl has a new pedal??

No need to panic..

Its all for our benefit. Both major companies are churning out more goodies for us in 2009. Its going to be a damn good year..

IF there is any truth in this rumor, then damnnn.... I should have kept my old ICs. Would be worth quite a bit of $$$ in 2009 lol.

Luckily i bought my pair of ICs PowerGlide with the C.C from Swee lee last year and a really low price...

Rest in peace I.C....... Lets hope they come out with some thing to compete with the likes of trick or perhaps a new directdrive system ? Or perhaps they should come out with a centred double pedal similar to the sonor giant step or sleishsman http://www.sleishman.com/..........

hey man i've been to the slieshman factory in sydney and met the owners son. saw them build a kit from scratch. the new dlb ped were just being marketed at the time, very nice people
