Shippinh to Malaysia

I'm from malaysia and i haf this question
If i were to buy somthing from Singapore and ask the fella to ship it over.
Would the idea be feasible ?
I've calculated shipping around 6kg = 53 msian bux for shipping.
Only problem is how to get a box that fits the guitar + gig bag ?
Can I get my fren to "beg" them from music shops ?

Most guitar shops throw out the shipping carton boxes when they put the guitar up on display. But likely they can always come up with one if you request for it. A tip, best to go when the shop just open, that's when they replenish the stock for the day, and throw boxes.

If you are here, might as well just hand carry it back, or get a friend who frequent SG to do so for you, save the money.

Shipping about cheapest is by normal postage, but better "over" pack the box with protective foam, sponge or crushed paper, and write "Fragile" all over. As you dunno what stress the box will be under, during transport.

best to get hardcase in my opinion. I don't trust gigbags well enough, knowing that basically writing "Fragile" doesn't guarantee your item inside to be well handled.
