A month or two back, my poly friends and I went over to this abandoned, former mental hospital that is right next to Republic Polytechnic (my school) and stayed there for most of the late afternoon and evening. It was a cloudy day and there was slight rain. The place itself was rather far into the forested area, it was like a totally different world.
We explored the place and finally settled down to chat on the roof. The walls were covered in graffiti, including names, vulgarities and that 'Anarchy' symbol. It was all very creepy, even though I'm a Christian and not usually scared of evil spirits.
The girls left early, and we spent some more time on the roof chatting. Then we heard something like footsteps, and it was obviously only one person. And we all heard it, so we were wondering what was making that sound. It happened for a good few minutes. At that time, it was about to start getting dark.
I initially thought it was the girls, but they had left quite a while ago, and the sound was coming from a place we had not yet explored, so surely the girls wouldn't have gone there? And from the footsteps, we could tell that its only one person. There were five girls with us. We all knew the place is haunted, so surely none of them would be silly enough to stray away.
So as it was getting dark, we loitered a while more before deciding to leave. Throughout the time we spent there, the place grew even more creepy since it was almost completely dark. But when we went into this large, window-less building, I felt uneasy, as if, you know, someone is watching you? And not at all a friendly presence?
We loitered around outside before leaving after that. Not sure how to explain the footsteps, I still wonder about it today.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some months back, my sister and I were eating our dinner near the kitchen. It was around 7-8pm and for the whole day I had found the house unusually quiet and creepy. So while we were eating, my two cats began to act up. They started looking intently at a certain corner of the kitchen, and surprisingly, they did not notice when I stroked them.
And of course, I felt a strange presence, and certainly not an angel because it felt hostile, not friendly. (Okay, I'm getting creeped out right now, recounting this story) My sister was also feeling strange, and I knew that it could not be one of those big, flying roaches my cats were staring at.
So, I said rather loudly something like, "In the name of Jesus Christ, leave." And the feeling disappeared, my house felt warm and cozy again. We Christians believe that God gives us each gifts. Some can speak in tongues, some can prophesy, etc. I think mine is discernment, because I can feel evil spirits. Its not like a 'third eye' because I can't see them, I just KNOW that they are there.
So yeah, both are true stories, I kid you not. After all, the world's a battlefield between good and evil. I personally do not believe people come back from the dead. But I know that evil spirits are very real.
